June 17, 2017

The winner of the Collide International Award in 2017 is hrm199, a studio platform that allows people from a diverse range of disciplines to collaborate. Founded in 2004 by artist Haroon Mirza to consolidate his interdisciplinary practice, their work draws from music, architecture, design and electronics.  For this project, hrm199 is collaborating with Jack Jelfs. For this edition, artists Diann Bauer and Tuomo Rainio received an Honorary Mention.

The COLLIDE Artists Residency Award is the flagship programme of Arts at CERN. The main goal of the residency is to develop expert knowledge in the arts through a connection with fundamental science. COLLIDE gives artists the opporunity to encounter the multi-dimensional world of particle physics. Since 2011 the COLLIDE award calls to artists to win a fully funded residency at CERN. In 2017, Arts at CERN is collaborating with FACT, Liverpool for the second time in this edition of the Collide International Award.
